NOOER

This is my third time trying to write about this... hopefully the third time is the charm...

Sometimes you walk down the same street in the same neighborhood and turn around the same corner only to find everything has changed... well, not everything exactly... the birds still sing in the trees, but they're singing in a different key now... the sun is still shining, but there's a different color in the light you never noticed before...

And you think, "None of this makes sense..." but there's a hidden Truth under the things in the world, humming to itself and smiling, and it doesn't care what you call it, for it was there all the time, waiting. It abides.

So you think to yourself, "This is silly now, I must go back to my old way of looking at things." But when you turn around, you find the wind's blown the door shut, and you haven't got a key... and this is part of the silliness, because you didn't ask for this change... you were just minding your business... only now there's this thing, this new outlook or whatever you want to call it... it defies explanation... all you know is the things that seemed sad and dark now seem funny in a way you never noticed, and existence that much more bearable... like the universe put this in your path to remind you how to laugh at yourself... and it makes you think that maybe there is a god after all... and that maybe he sends you what you need even when you never knew you needed it.
